From his earliest days singing in church to his triumphant last years as
the Emperor of the Universe, K-Doe performed in New Orleans for over
fifty years and he never even thought about stopping.
Today, though he has left us, his legend lives on. The Empress Antoinette
is dedicated to keeping the Mother-in-Law Lounge open as not only a shrine
to the Emperor, but also as a venue of great, local music.
