Hot to Submit

Before submitting please read all the guidelines listed on this page. After preparing your material according to these guidlines, please submit your digital contributions via e-mail to dave@gnofn.org. If you wish to submit hard copy of your contribution, please submit it to Antoinette K-Doe, 1500 N. Claiborne Ave., New Orleans, LA 70116, and then send e-mail notification of your hard copy submission to dave@gnofn.org.

Citation of Authorship

If you wish work to be credited to its author, please provide the author's full name with your submission. Credits will appear as text on the page in close proximity to the work to which they refer (only on the page with the large version of an image in the case of an image). If the author of a photograph or other image wishes his or her name (or other authorship notation such as copyright) to appear on the image itself, then the photograph or image must be submitted digitally with the authorship markings already in place. Works submitted without an author's name will be credited to Ernie & Antoinette K-Doe until the name of the author becomes known.

Submitting Images

For photos and other graphic contributions, digital submission is preferred. When submitting photos or scans of artwork, please send JPEG-formatted files. When submitting computer-generated artwork, please submit GIF- or PNG-formatted artwork. For each image submitted, a small version and a large version must be included. The longest dimension (i.e., width or height) of the small image should be 200 pixels and the longest dimension of the large image should be 450 pixels. If photos or other artwork are submitted as hard copy, they will be scanned and cropped at the editor(s) convenience and discretion. No authorship markings (such as name and copyright) will be added to the image itself. Authorship information will, however, appear on the page where the large version of the image appears.

Captions for Photographs

A caption should be submitted with each photograph submitted. If possible, the caption should include the date the photo was taken, the place it was taken and the names of the people (if known) in the photo. Submitted captions may be edited by the site editor(s) before being placed on the site.

Placement of Contributed Material

Please note that the editor(s) of this web site reserve the right to place contributed material on this web site wherever we deem most appropriate and to alter layout (if necessary) to conform with the visual design of this web site. Although your suggestions regarding placement and layout will be considered, they may or may not be adopted. Content itself will not be edited (other than for grammar and spelling or as noted above) without the author's approval.

Removal of Contributed Material

If the author of a contributed work wishes her or his work to be removed from the site at any time, the work will be removed. Similarly, the owners and editors of this site may remove any material from the site at any time as we deem fit.
